🧡 How we found our way to Mount Rainier NP & Ashford, WA 🧡
Mount Rainier from the Reflection Pools Parking & Trailheads Area (Steven's Canyon)
It’s amazing how a whirl-wind road trip can turn into a vacation home in the future. In 2021, my son and I took a CRAZY roadtrip from Yellowstone to Mount Rainier via our home (at the time) in Houston, TX. Our month-long stay in a tiny house outside of Mount Rainier was something my son and I will never forget. We hiked every accessible trail in the Longmire & beyond areas, built a snowman in Paradise (“Bobby” lasted the full month), and took day trips to hike in the Carbon River Valley, White River, Ohanapecosh, and lower Steven’s Canyon. We escaped to visit Mount Saint Helen’s National Volcanic Monument and Staircase within Olympic National Park. When that same Tiny Home came up for sale in 2024, we knew it was a sign! If you have found this page, you’re likely one of our guests, or are considering booking a visit. We hope you enjoy our humble little vacation home (1-2people, no pets) – complete with all the little quirks & oddities that come with tiny home living. It’s a perfect place to rest those hiking legs a mere 4 miles from the Nisqually entrance to our beloved Mount Rainier. Tiny House living is certainly unique, and following the house guide is 100% the best way to ensure Bernie’s Tiny Home can be available for guests (and us!) to make more memories at Mount Rainier for years to come. The guide is accessible here, or via the menu above. We hope you enjoy your stay!
